One plus year after the coronavirus outbreak, many countries are starting to ease down Covid-19 measures as they attempt to return to normalcy. After the pandemic broke out, many restrictions were put in place and people were denied their freedom.<\/p>\n
However, as things look, not only are economies opening up but also covid-19 measures are being lifted by most governments. In countries like Denmark, all corona measures have been gotten rid of. In England, the prime minister announced that most corona rules were set to halt. And in Sweden, several measures have been abolished. Here is the full story:<\/p>\n
After meeting in Copenhagen, the Danish parliament decided that all Corona measures should be stopped from October 1st. This means that people won\u2019t be required to wear face masks and the test system will also be scrapped. Additionally, the Danish people won\u2019t be required to prove that they are vaccinated or unvaccinated, or whether they have tested negative or positive.<\/p>\n
One of the main reasons why covid-19 measures are being removed in Denmark is because of the increasing incidence figures in the country<\/a>. England is among the few countries in Europe that are lifting such coronavirus measures.<\/p>\n However, other countries in the Greater United Kingdom, such as Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland did not follow suit as they have their personal corona regulations.<\/p>\n Another country that is abolishing most of the covid-19 measures is Sweden. But unlike Denmark and England, Sweden is lifting their measures in stages. At the moment, they just uplifted their stage 3 measures<\/a>, which include operators of long-distance public transport to work at full capacity, gatherings are allowed, and people being allowed in stadiums, malls, museums, and even amusement parks.<\/p>\n The Swedish Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation and the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs stated, \u201cOverall, the infection rates, the pressure on the health care system, and the vaccination rate of the population are all at levels that allow restrictions to be lifted. For this reason, the Government and the Public health Agency of Sweden have assessed that it is appropriate to proceed with step 3 of government\u2019s plan for phasing out restrictions.\u201d<\/p>\n So, even as governments start to ease down coronavirus measures, it\u2019s clear that vaccination won\u2019t be the solution for people attaining hard immunity. This is because vaccinated individuals can still get infected and even have the same viral load as unvaccinated individuals.
