The Netherlands has long been known for its leniency on several drug and sexual issues, but decisions allowing pro-pedophile groups to proliferate and spread their message is creating a slippery slope to the legalization of pedophilia.

The Brotherly Love, Freedom and Diversity Party wants to change the age of consent from 16 to 12, legalize child pornography, allow pornography on daytime television, violent pornography allowed in the evening, allow children over 16 to appear in adult films, and allow sex with animals, according to The Guardian.

The political party can have its own candidates after the courts deemed the party legal. Calls to disband The Martijn Foundation, a group that wants to legalize sex between adults and children, were rebuked when the courts found the group did nothing illegal.

“While a number of its members have been jailed on child pornography charges, the court found that the words and photographs on the organization’s website did not break any laws,” according to The Independent.
