According to online posts, a document provided by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) showed over 1,200 deaths linked to Pfizer-Covid-19 BioNTech's vaccine over a 90-day period. However, the pharmaceutical behemoth claims that the paper makes no mention of vaccination-related deaths and declares that the doses are safe, a conclusion backed up by US health officials and clinical research. Where does the truth begin and where does that lie end? Is truth somewhere in the middle? We believe so.

A fact-check by AFP concluded that stories claiming Pfizer had shown a "shocking danger level" for its vaccination were false, and that there was no causal relationship identified between the problems and the shots. But can we really say that AFP has checked its sources to defend one story against the other? Are media playing doctors now and we are letting them do so?
