According to online posts, a document provided by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) showed over 1,200 deaths linked to Pfizer-Covid-19 BioNTech’s vaccine over a 90-day period. However, the pharmaceutical behemoth claims that the paper makes no mention of vaccination-related deaths and declares that the doses are safe, a conclusion backed up by US health officials and clinical research. Where does the truth begin and where does that lie end? Is truth somewhere in the middle? We believe so.
A fact-check by AFP concluded that stories claiming Pfizer had shown a “shocking danger level” for its vaccination were false, and that there was no causal relationship identified between the problems and the shots. But can we really say that AFP has checked its sources to defend one story against the other? Are media playing doctors now and we are letting them do so?
A report on the National File website on December 2, 2021, reads, “Pfizer Documents Show Over 1,200 Vaccine Deaths Over 90-Day Trial Period.” On December 14, 2021, an image of a publication was captured.
According to one report, the Pfizer data revealed a “shocking danger level” for the vaccination, whereas other claimed the data generated “severe concerns” about the doses.
Is this the case or is this another false claim? We believe that as long as there is a fire, there will also be some realities covered up waiting to be heard. For sure, there are claims to instill dread of Covid-19 doses through tales of fatalities and other severe consequences following vaccination, but for sure such claims would not even come out of thin air.
There is nothing in the material quoted in the publications that suggests the vaccine was connected to deaths. According to Pfizer spokesperson Dervila Keane, the number of 1,223 deaths and injuries among 158,893 negative impacts demonstrates “spontaneous” results from source information including health authorities across several regions of the world, without any confirmation of the cause, amongst millions of vaccinated individuals globally throughout that period.
It doesn’t specify the cause of death, and the deaths might include those suffering from “a variety of conditions,” such as cancer or cardiac disease, she explained.
Although the report is used as proof that Pfizer-Covid-19 BioNTech’s vaccine is risky, the report’s conclusion states that “the data don’t really disclose any innovative safety issues or potential dangers needing brand adjustments” and “affirms an advantageous gain: risk balance” for the vaccine, which Keane claims has been shipped in 2.5 billion doses.
The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), which is operated by the FDA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, also keeps a record of reports of deaths and other complications following vaccination (CDC).
“Even though it’s uncertain if the vaccine was the reason,” FDA spokesperson Alison Hunt informed AFP, health care professionals are required to report any fatality vaccinations to the program.
“FDA and CDC reports have established that the overwhelming majority of these cases fatalities are not clearly attributable to vaccinations,” she added, noting that deaths following Covid-19 vaccination are “unusual.” But then again, how come we are linking so many deaths to unvaccinated people? Filtering of information in both directions should be the case.
There is no connection between the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and deaths, according to medical trial.
On December 31, 2020, a large corporate, placebo-controlled, observer-blinded trial published in the New England Journal of Medicine found no deaths among vaccine or placebo recipients, and noted: “Brief, mild-to-moderate pain at the injection site, fatigue, and headache were all confirmed as side effects of (the shot). Severe complications were uncommon and were equivalent in the vaccination and placebo groups.”
“The officials found no link between any of these fatalities and BNT162b2,” the publication added, alluding to the vaccination. “Death causes were evenly distributed between the BNT162b2 and placebo groups.”
AFP Fact Check has exposed a slew of additional vaccination and Covid-19-related myths.
Wrapping up
A fact-check AFP concluded that stories claiming Pfizer had shown a “shocking danger level” for its vaccination were false, as there was no causation link found seen between issues and the shots.
Medical data shows no connection between the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and deaths, according to the AFP fact-check.
